RFID Inauguration in Library

• On 31-1-22, Shri Pradeep Kumar, Ex Member Infra., Railway Board inaugurated the RFID system in the Sanchetna Library of National Academy of Indian Railways. With this new system the issue and return of the library books will be touchless, fast and accurate. Sanchetna Library is uses the e-Granthalaya software maintained by the national informatics centre (NIC).

As part of “AzadikaAmritMahotsav”, celebrating 75 years of Indian Independence, a philately stamps exhibition honoring Freedom Fighters and Father of Nation- Mahatma Gandhi was organized at “Sanchetna” NAIR Library.

• The exhibition was kept open on 07/10/21 by DG/NAIR and was attended by all Faculty Members & officers, other trainee officers and family members.
• This exhibition was a tribute honoring the Martyrdom of Freedom Fighters contributing towards achieving India’s Independence on 15th August 1947.
• The display of Philately Stamps echoed the India’s Freedom Movement starting from India’s first Revolution for Independence in 1857 to showcasing contribution of freedom fighters across India, over the years of freedom struggle.
• Different postage Stamps and Miniature sheets issued by India Post in last 75 years on Mahatma Gandhi was displayed with detailed information on various freedom struggle movements lead by Mahatma Gandhi.
• The exhibition was well appreciated.
